Dr. Lam is the founder and CEO of eLearning Innovators, Inc, co-directs ELICE events and is the Instructional Design Consultant for World Bank, CGAP Gateway Academy. She specializes in talent development, particularly leveraging Web and mobile technologies to promote individual and organizational development. As a learning solutions consultant and coach, she works internationally to support organizations with accessible, efficient, and quality digital learning options. She is a pioneer in the eLearning field and an early adopter of eLearning and has been involved in the design, facilitation, and evaluation of many online and blended courses since 2001.
Penina holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development (OD) from the University of Louisville (USA); a master’s in higher education; and a bachelor’s degree from Kenyatta University (B.Ed. Hon). Prior to following her passion for entrepreneurship, she served in senior leadership roles in higher education and corporate sectors. She was faculty at the University of Arkansas (USA) and taught in the Fzaculty of Education at Queen’s University (Canada) and the Kenya Utalii College.
Her life’s work draws on her upbringing in Kenya and international experiences. As an adult educator, she’s passionate about sharing her knowledge and experiences via mentoring, coaching, and training initiatives. She co-directs the annual eLearning Innovations Conference in Kenya, reaching thousands of educators, leaders, and innovators.
Siamanta is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate and holds a diploma in Chartered Institute of Marketing. She has had 6 years’ experience working in the field of project management during which she worked for the National Council of Churches of Kenya and Equity Bank Ltd, Kenya. She has extensive knowledge in budgeting, grant management, proposal writing and reporting. She has an equal love for numbers and marketing which she brings to the table as an ELI staff. She has been described as an outgoing individual who takes every opportunity to enjoy a good laugh.
Kinya graduated with a degree in Commerce and has a professional diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. After gaining four years of practical work experience, she set off for a new adventure in Canada pursuing a Masters in International Business at Queen’s University. Having worked at PwC Kenya, Toyota Kenya Limited and The Mater Hospital in different marketing roles, she has experience in content development for websites and marketing materials, market research, event organization and digital marketing. When not thinking marketing, she enjoys a good series, a good book or good food and is eternally fascinated by the changing colours of leaves in the fall.
